Antheia was Founded in 2022!

The Krewe of Antheia is a relatively new all‑female Mardi Gras krewe based in Slidell, Louisiana. It made its debut in 2022-2023 and is named after Antheia, a figure from Greek mythology associated with flowers, swamps, bayous, and blossoming wreaths—symbols meant to reflect feminine strength, natural beauty, and community. The krewe describes itself as “a sisterhood of world changers,” and its founding vision includes combining the pageantry of Carnival traditions with a message of positivity, unity, and impact in St. Tammany Parish.

Who We Are

The Krewe of Antheia is a sacred and spirited sisterhood where women come together to uplift, support, and inspire one another. Rooted in the essence of the Goddess Antheia – friendship, trust, honor, and community – we create a safe, empowering space for deep connection and meaningful growth.

We believe in the magic of unity, the strength of connection, and the unstoppable power of women who rise together. Our vision is a world transformed by sisterhood – a world where women live boldly, lead with purpose & compassion, and always show up for each other with intention.

Five Years of Antheia

What started with a vision has grown into something truly extraordinary. For five years, the women of the Krewe of Antheia have shown what happens when grit, passion, and purpose come together.

Through every parade, every celebration, every late-night planning session, and every unforgettable moment, one thing has remained at the heart of it all, our sisterhood.

We’ve grown together, lifted each other up, laughed until our cheeks hurt, and created memories filled with love, empowerment, and good times that will last a lifetime.

Here’s to the women who built it, the sisters who carry it forward, and the many beautiful years still ahead.

Happy 5th Anniversary, Krewe of Antheia.  The best chapters of our story are still to come.

New Signature Throws!

A New Tradition is Blooming with the Krewe of Antheia! This year marks an exciting first for our Krewe – the introduction of our signature Mardi Gras throws: Beautifully Handcrafted Headpieces!

Each headpiece will be uniquely designed, showcasing the creativity and individuality of the incredible women of the Krewe of Antheia. No two will be the same, making them truly special treasures for those lucky enough to catch one along the parade route.

Last night, the board had the opportunity to do a trial run with the incredibly talented Angelle V Cherry of Angelle Victoria Studio, and it was an amazing evening filled with creativity, laughter, and sisterhood.

These Signature Pieces represent more than just a throw – they reflect the artistry, creativity, and spirit of our Krewe.

We can’t wait to see these beautiful creations come to life and become a special part of the Antheia Mardi Gras tradition.
